Wireless Free Internet access is now being offered to residents free of charge. The costs of the network infrastructure and broadband internet connection are being paid by The Franklin Apts so that residents have the ability to access the internet without paying a monthly fee to a third party Internet Service Provider.

Is the Franklin WiFi installation finished?

The first stage of the Franklin WiFi network is completed. Stage two will include outdoor coverage for the pool area, as well as interior fine tuning needs identified during the kickoff stage.

What do I need to connect?

You can connect to Franklin WiFi with a wireless Network Interface Card (NIC) and a computer running the Windows XP Operating system. The Franklin has arranged to have a limited number of the recommended Netgear NICs available for purchase from the office for your convenience. System performance requirements are met by most computers made in the last 2 years.

What about email?

Franklin WiFi does not provide an email service, but can be used to access an existing email account through webmail (html), or any free email such as juno, yahoo, etc.

How can I Participate?

You can make an appointment with a technician to check your computer and assist you with the Franklin WiFi today in the lobby, or by leaving your apartment number and phone number with the office staff.
